What can we use a Get Out! Grant for?

An essential criteria is that the grant must be used to support off-site educational visits.

Some of the ways the Get Out! Grant have been used previously include: purchasing equipment and resources; investing in specialist training; and subsidising travel and activities; however, we’re sure you’ve got lots of ideas - and we can’t wait to hear them!

The 2024 Get Out! Grant is now closed.

We’ll update this page with information about future grants when available. In the meantime, visit our Funding Finder page for a searchable list of other grants and opportunities to support your educational visits.

How do I apply for a Get Out! Grant?

Schools are invited to submit an application online explaining how they would use the grant to give their children and young people memorable opportunities beyond the classroom. (The form will only be visible when the grant application window is open).

Here are some questions you might consider when planning your application:

  • How will this grant benefit your students now, and into the future?

  • What will it enable you to do that would otherwise not be achievable?

  • How will it support inclusion and widening participation in educational visits?

  • How will it impact the children and young people at your school?

What makes a successful application?

We receive lots of applications for our grants, so we’re looking for something a little bit special in your application. Why not consider involving your students in the application process?

Be creative and make your application stand out - you can even upload a video or other media to help bring your ideas to life.

Good luck with your applications!
